November 24th, 2013It is always a pleasure to take part in the North Bristol Art’s Trail and this year did not disappoint! I hope you enjoy a snap-shot of the weekend’s event below. There will a more detailed write up in the next Bishopston Matters. If you have some photos or experiences you would like to share about the trail please e-mail kerry@bishopstonmatters.co.uk and I will be happy to feature them.

Bike Back combined fantastic art with bike donations and refurbished bike sales. See more at http://www.lifecycleuk.org.uk/bike-recycling

It was wonderful to see the Gloucester Road buzzing with people on the trail. It is a special weekend indeed.

Artist Pip Gilman busy sketching outside Room 212 on the Gloucester Road. I was lucky enough to receive a free sketch!
- The Ashley Down Infants have created a fabulous collage of Gromits in the style of Pointillism. Look out for more of their creative artwork on the front cover and within the December issue of Bishopston Matters (you can download a copy on this website).

Lighting Up also displayed some of the great work they have created with sufferers of dementia. This collaboration between North Bristol Artists and dementia sufferers has proved a to be a huge success.

Who could resist one of these scrummy cakes! Refreshments at Horfield Baptist Church were put on by Fresh Ground Cafe that is open for the public to enjoy Monday to Friday.

Always a pleasure to see one of the original North Bristol Artists Cath Read, displaying at a new venue this year.
