Growing Voices is a choir for children aged 5 – 7. The aim of the group is to encourage children to enjoy singing together and to have fun with their voices. The weekly sessions will include physical and vocal warm-ups, song learning, musical games and rhythm activities. The sessions will be relaxed, fun and accessible, so no experience is necessary. We will explore a wide range of music from traditional songs and old favourites to modern, funky tunes and songs from different cultures.
We will work towards informal performances for family and friends at the end of each term.
It’s going to be lots of fun, so come along, join in, get singing and help build a new community of young singers. The classes take place Mondays from 4.00–4.45pm at St Michael and All Angels Church Centre, 160a Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7
Harcourt Pre-School is based in north Bristol. We were established in 1956 with the aim of providing good quality childcare in a safe and stimulating environment. The name ‘Harcourt’ derives from our first location in a room in Harcourt Road. We are located in St Albans Church hall and are run independently of the church. We are proud of our links with the local community with which we enjoy a respected and affectionate relationship. We provide a friendly, comfortable and safe environment for children to learn through play. Enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. The qualified staff are sensitive and responsive to the individual needs of each child. The team strongly believes Pre-School should be fun and we all support children in their learning journey, including preparing them for a happy transition to school.
