Retinitis Pigmentosa charity would like your used stamps pleaseJanuary 29th, 2015
Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) is a disease of the eye that leads to loss of vision and blindness. The Charity RP Fighting Blindness works hard to stimulate and fund cutting edge research to find a treatment or cure and support those affected. RP affects some 25,000 people in the UK alone.
They are currently running a used stamp appeal – they are asking if you could take a few moments each day to tear off the stamps from your letters (if you cut around them they can get a higher price) and save them until you have a fair number (perhaps enough to fill a jiffy bag or similar) and post them to the charity; who can then sell them on to stamp dealers. Whether British or foreign, franked or not, unwanted stamp Albums, they would really appreciate you sending them to them, as every little helps, thank you.
Do you belong to a club which has speakers? RP give a talk about the Charity, and the condition, the talk is designed to be informative, interesting and humorous. If you would like to invite them along please contact Ron & Gina Pritchard, 22, Huckford Road, Winterbourne, Bristol BS36 1EA Tel 01454772927 or email [email protected]Tags: Ashley Down, Bishopston, Bishopston Matters, Bristol, Bristol Magazine, charity, community, eye sight, eyes, free magazine, Glos Rd, Gloucester Road, Horfield, local, local magazine, magazine, Neighbourhood, Redland, Retinitis Pigmentosa, St Andrews, stamps, voice Back to news
