More attractions confirmed for MayFest this Saturday 3rd May!April 30th, 2014
Lou Gray who makes the beautiful lights on sale at Room 212 is kindly loaning four maypoles to be used during the Gloucester Road Central MayFest event this Saturday. The amazing Ape Project will also be there with their fabulous pedal powered carousel (pictured right). The organisers are hoping one of the May poles may slot into the centre of the carousel.
Bishopston Matters and Catch the Moment Photo Studio Bristol are asking Mayfest goers to take pictures which ‘Catch the Moment of Glos Rd Central’ during Mayfest. The best photos will be chosen to go into next month’s Bishopston Matters. The winner will also receive a £50.00 Studio Voucher from Catch the Moment. Please post your photos onto our facebook page or tweet twitter.com/glosrdcentral
Bishopston Matters will have a stall and is looking forward to having a chat with lots of local people. I will be handing out free balloons, lollipops, a chance to enter into a free competition and of course magazines!
Oddsox will be setting up a sale on their forecourt and selling last year’s stock at just £10 per pair! The local business has generously agreed to give a proportion of this money to the Bristol MS Society. This is a charity close to my heart, and after MayFest Bishopston Matters will be gearing up for the 2014 MS Community Cake Break on Saturday 17th May, 10 am to 2 pm at the Horfield Baptist Church, 279 Gloucester Road, BS7 8NY.
I look forward to seeing you at both of these events, you can read more about these fun local activities if you scroll down this page.Tags: Ape Project, Ashley Down, Bishopston, Bishopston Matters, Bristol, Bristol free magazine, Cake Break, charity, community, free, GlosRdCentral, Gloucester Road, Horfield, Horfield Baptist Church, local, MS, Oddsox, Redland, Room 212, St Andrews, voice.
