Local barbering salon celebrates 30 years in business with a new moveJune 25th, 2016
Local men’s hairdressing salon Franco’s Barbering Lounge has celebrated 30 years in business this week, with the announcement of a move to bigger commercial premises on Gloucester Road.
Franco Lombardi, who set up the barbering salon on Overton Road in 1985 opposite the Hobgoblin pub on Gloucester Road, has delivered more than three decades of men’s hairdressing, male grooming and barbering services with a small but creative and dedicated team of men’s barbers with him.
The decision to move to larger commercial premises on 31 Gloucester Road, just around the corner from the men’s hairdresser’s previous location, comes after increased client demand and planning to find the right retail unit.
The new and bigger Franco’s Barbering Lounge on Gloucester Road which officially opening its doors to the public on Wednesday 22nd June, and Creative Director Franco Lombardi made the following comments:
“It’s been an amazing 30 years, and the loyal clients who have visited [email protected]’s as it used to be called have ensured our survival and growth despite difficult times in the regional and national economy recently.
“To be celebrating three decades in business in Bristol by moving to larger premises is an incredible achievement, and testimony to the value our awesome clients place on the service they receive from our Bristol barbers.”
The new barbering salon at 31 Gloucester Road will be four times bigger than the old men’s hairdressing salon on Overton Road, and will include extra features such as six barbering chairs instead of three, air conditioning, free WIFI and toilets, state-of-the-art coffee machine, lounge area with leather Chesterfield sofas, and a potential of a male grooming treatment room – this is currently under discussion with local therapists.
The same existing team of five barbers and male grooming experts will be working in the new men’s hairdressing salon from June onwards, and the focus remains firmly on providing excellent service, as Franco concludes:
“It’s been an amazing 30 years, and to mark this milestone in business by opening a newer, bigger and even better version of [email protected]’s in Bristol is a really exciting experience. Our team at the new Franco’s Barbering Lounge on 31 Gloucester Road are raring to go!”Tags: Ashley Down, Barbers, Bishopston, Bishopston Matters, Bishopston Voice, Bristol, Bristol City Council, Bristol free magazine, Bristol Magazine, BS6, BS7, community, Cotham, Francos Barbering Lounge, free magazine, free newsletter, Friends of St Andrews Park, Gloucester Road, Gloucester Road Traders, independent shops Back to news
