YourStreet Gift Cards win two Bristol & Bath Women in Business Awards categoriesMay 21st, 2014
Anne-Louise Perez and Imogen McIntosh, the two women behind YourStreet Gift Cards have recently won two categories in the Bristol & Bath Women in Business Awards. The categories were New Business and Innovation and both were sponsored by Ashfords and HSBC. It was a glamourous event, with one of the guest speakers being the original founder of Confused.com.
But the business’s achievements don’t stop there. YourStreet Gift Cards recently won funding from the Starter for 10 pot through both business women having to do a Dragons Den style ‘pitch’ battle. They are also receiving some useful business coaching from Creative England as part of the funding package. Wessex Bus Service have also agreed to put YourStreet Gift Cards adverts in thirty of their Bristol buses which are now up and generating some great publicity.
The business has even spread its wings to Downend and had a successful meeting recently at Bristol and Bath Science park and have new independents going ‘live’ next week from Downend: Melanies Kitchen, Craig Anthonys, lacuna and Westerleigh Car centre. In all the business now have about 145 traders on their network. Due to their business expanding, they now have a local bookkeeper working for them part time.
YourStreet Gift Card is getting a lot of interest from corporate companies, who can play a significant role in supporting the high street and communities their staff live in. The card provides a mechanism for them to reward/incentivise staff and fulfils a CSR agenda and UWE are a great example of this. However, the business women are still involved in their local community and donated a YourStreet hamper for the recent Gloucester Road Mayfest.
Bishopston Matters wishes YourStreet Gift Card every success in the future.
