The Great 60 hour Jubilee Meditate-a-thon!

The Great 60 hour Jubilee Meditate-a-thon will take place on Friday 1st June to Monday 4th June 2012 at Aro Ling Buddhist Art & Meditation Centre, 127 Gloucester Rd (next to the Co-op super market and opposite Barclay’s Bank).
To coincide with the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, meditators will sit in Aro Lings shop window for 60 hours non-stop from Friday evening right through the night until Monday morning slap bang in the middle of Gloucester Road, one of Bristol’s busiest shopping streets.
Join the hordes of shoppers watching an awesome relay of meditators practising silent sitting meditation in public view in Aro Lings shop window. The event is to raise awareness of the benefits of meditation and to raise money for a new meditation retreat centre.
Practice manager, Métsal Wangmo welcomes anyone interested in meditation As well as celebrating the jubilee, we want people to actually see whats on offer here. Meditation can take a little determination to benefit from, but is really worth trying. There are lots of ways different people can meditate, and its NOT necessarily about sitting cross-legged on the floor without moving for hours!
