The Gloucester Road Traders Need YOU!
December 10th, 2012
The Gloucester Road Traders ask for your support in relation to the proposed Sainsbury’s at the Memorial Ground. For those of you that do not already know the proposed development would be one the largest supermarkets in North Bristol. Help keep events such at the Christmas one illustrated right to remain possible.
The independent retail impact report suggests that if the Sainsbury’s proposal goes ahead, £7.7M pa will be diverted away from the Gloucester Road, a loss of 12% of retail turnover. Some sections of Gloucester Road will be harder hit, losing 19% of retail turnover. Some shops will definitely be at risk of closure.
