Latest on North Bristol Baths: Statement from Bristol City CouncilApril 27th, 2014
Since October 2012, Chatsworth Homes has been working on a conversion of the former pool into a community Health Centre, pharmacy and hydrotherapy suite together with new housing and a new Bishopston Library.
The council has served written notice and is now awaiting a response from the developer, which has until 29 April 2014 to resolve several issues. This follows a council-commissioned review by Capita to ensure the quality of the development. In the meantime the Council is keeping all prospective tenants and buyers informed.
A Bristol City Council spokesman said: “We have to make sure that we get a high quality development and at the moment there are several concerns. We are very grateful for the patience of everyone affected and we will make sure that, one way or another, the project is completed to a high standard and as soon reasonably possible.”Tags: Ashley Down, Bishopston, Bristol, Bristol City Council, Bristol free magazine, Bristol North Baths, community, Gloucester Road, Horfield, local, Redland, St Andrews, voice Back to news
