Fun Doggy Day & Dog Show Fair to Raise Money for Friends of South Glos StraysJune 23rd, 2014
A FUN DOGGY DAY & DOG SHOW & FAIR will be held on Sunday 17th August in aid of Friends of South Glos Strays at Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled in Henbury. This year’s event – which is held annually – will be even bigger and better than last year and will include something for everyone!
The dog show will be held under cover and will start at 11am, though registration will take place from 10am. There will also be Pedigree and Novelty classes with prizes and rosettes to 5th place, sponsored by Husse Bristol and Platinum Pet care.
The event will run on the pay on the day basis and will be £1 per class or as many classes as you wish for £5. Admission will be 50p for adults which includes a programme. The public are urged to bring their pennies as there will be a wide range of stalls from gorgeous glass to hand made crafts to Kiddies stalls, face painting, soft toy tombola – something for everyone! All monies will go to Friends of South Glos Strays – saving our local stray dogs.
There will be refreshments, cakes and a BBQ. There will be something for everyone with many activities to enjoy, including Have-a-go-Agility (Canine Relate + Halcyon Hounds) to fastest recall, Scrumpys flyball team (dogs), dog displays and the public will be able to meet the Dog Rescues and Pets as Therapy dogs.
