A TEAM from Fairfield High School is celebrating success in a science event at Bristol University. The four Year 8 boys won the university challenge contest at The Salters Festival of Chemistry, which was attended by pupils from schools in the South West.
The winning team comprised Finley Suttee, Felix Hallett, Bruce Da Silvia and Lucien Chadwick. Teacher Gill Lamming said: “They were a credit to the school.”
The event was one of a series across the country organised by The Salters’ Institute, whose aim is to promote the appreciation of chemistry and related sciences among the young. It was held in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry and sponsored by the university’s ChemLabS.
