Celebrate the best of British with Sue Ryder's Summer Gala in the GardensJune 18th, 2014
Healthcare charity Sue Ryder is currently selling tickets to its ‘Gala in the Gardens’ Summer event, to be held on Saturday 28th June at The Camers Gardens in Old Sudbury. Camers is a listed Elizabethan farmhouse situated 25 minutes drive from Bristol, and is not normally open to the public.
Taking place in the sensational gardens from 11-7pm, the gala is quintessentially British, featuring a vintage tea garden, craft stalls, dance, classic cars, live music, theatre, garden tours, story telling and a treasure hunt.
Already confirmed to perform are The Dixie Belles with 1940’s style swing set, jazz, blues and boogie woogie singer Mark Douglas, electronic funk solo bassist Justin Kool, kitchen demonstrations from the Pampered Chef, the Winscombe community choir, Classic cars from C&H motor club, opera singer Jane Gilchris, live magic from Sunil Inn Technicolour.
Guests can enjoy a cream tea in the vintage tea rooms, explore the kids area, relax and enjoy a Swedish massage, browse through the stalls to find some treasures or wander through the Elizabethan gardens with a Pimms. It is the perfect day out for all the family.
The event is held to raise money for Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Court Hospice, and to enable us to provide incredible care to local people with life changing illnesses. Last year’s Gala in the Gardens raised over £10,000, and we’re hoping to beat that figure for 2014.
Ticket prices are as follows – adults £10.00 (early bird) or £12.50 (full price), children £5 (early bird) (£7 full price), family ticket £28 (early bird) or full price £35 (full price). Family tickets are for groups of two adults and 2 children. Children under three years go free.
