Bishopston, Cotham & Redland Neighbourhood Partnership Street Scene Action Day

P1190889After their last successful day in September, the Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Neighbourhood Partnership Street Scene group are holding another day of action on SATURDAY 25th October as part of the Keep Britain Tidy “Jubilee Big Tidy up”. Again they will be based around three centres and in addition have the Community Pay Back team working with them all day.

Below is the plan for the day:

Tidying the streets of Ashley Down and Bishopston 10 am – 1 pm

Meet Rob Umphray 07920 422407 at 10 am at the entrance to Muller Avenue (off Ashley Down Road), Auntie litta – our city hero litter picker will be joining Rob in her costume and cape. So bring your kids on this litter pick. Litter sacks, gloves, litter pickers and safety equipment will all be supplied supplied . All you need to bring is yourself, family and friends.

Tidying Cotham Gardens and surrounding roads 10 – 1pm

Meet Alison Bromilow (07736770391 ) at 10 am at Cotham Gardens playground entrance to join in with some litter picking and cutting back vegetation in the area and in Cotham Gardens. Litter sacks, gloves, litter pickers and safety equipment will all be supplied. All you need to bring is yourself, family and friends. If you are happy to cut back vegetation, please bring your own gardening gloves, loppers or secateurs etc. Please wear suitable work clothing and stout shoes.

Leaf collection from Clarendon/Hartington Park, Woodstock, and Ermfleet Roads

Meet Paul Townsend (Tel. 07720389725) at 10 am the post box at top of Clarendon road. Clear litter sacks will be supplied but please bring your own garden gloves and garden broom.

Liz Kew will be working with the Community Pay Back team all day initially in the North Road/Zealand Road area but exactly what work will be done will be dependent on the weather and where the welfare vehicle can be parked.
