Votes could win St Werburghs City Farm Solar Panels!

St Werburghs City FarmOne of Bristol’s City Farms has been shortlisted in the running to win a share of 400,000 pounds from the M&S Community Energy Fund. If the Bristol charity gets enough public votes online before the end of September, then St Werburghs City Farm will win £7,494 to install solar panels with a linked teaching display on their new classrooms. City Farm Director Kari Halford says, “We are up against projects from across the UK, so we need the votes of all the 55,000 family visitors who enjoy the Farm each year from our neighbours in St Werburghs and across Bristol. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our small charity to install these educational solar panels on our new Connection Centre classrooms so that we can teach our young visitors about the benefits of renewable energy. But we will only be successful if the Bristol public vote for us.” You can vote online for St Werburghs City Farm here – www.mandsenergyfund.com/project/27481/ The M&S Energy Community Fund was launched earlier this summer, with up to £400,000 available to support community renewable energy projects and technologies across the UK. St Werburghs City Farm has been shortlisted for one of the regional funding awards for projects across Great Britain that require a maximum of £12,500 decided by public vote.
