The Gurt Gasworks Concert
April 23rd, 2012
Fresh from the hugely successful Gurt Winter Concert in February, the Gurt Lush Choir is pleased to announce a second outing to the Colston Hall, this time in collaboration with the fantastic Gasworks Choir. The next event will take place on Saturday 7th July 2012 at the Colston Hall.
A rare opportunity to see and hear 400 of Bristols singers joining forces to blow the roof off the Colston Hall, the concert will see both of the choirs performing great new repertoire, together with some exciting new collaborations and a few old favourites!
Gurt Lush is a relative newcomer to the City of Song – it began in 2009 – but has quickly built a formidable membership of over 250 singers under the inspiring leadership of D Sam Burns.
The 170 strong Gasworks Choir was Bristols first community choir. Formed by Dee Jarlett and Ali Orbaum in 1997, it was instrumental in building the thriving community singing scene that exists across the city today.
The concert will once again be in aid of St Peters Hospice. Tickets will be available in early May via the Colston Hall website and box office. Tickets are £10, £8 concessions, Under 18s free.
