The English Tailoress now in Bishopston

Charlotte Appleby, The English Tailoress has recently moved to Bristol and brings with her years of dressmaking experience. After training years ago at London College of Fashion in Handcraft tailoring, Charlotte soon carved out a niche in bespoke dresses for formal occasions from Prom to Bridalwear. Inspired by the old fashion couturiers like Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, Charlotte looks to more refined and elegant styling with embellished lace detailing to highlight an area of the body. Every gown is made specially to the client’s requirements personally by Charlotte so that every detail is taken care of making the journey fun and memorable before the big event. Charlotte also lends her skills to the fashion and costume industry working on the recent film Cinderella and Cannes film festival last year. ‘Its satisfying working with a team of people on a big production but I also love working on individual commissions where you can work closely with the client, taking them through the stages to realise something special at the end’.
