Support Team Honk!
March 3rd, 2015Local resident Kath Bremer recently got in touch with Bishopston Matters with the below request, to help her raise funds for Comic Relief, please can you support Team Honk!
Dear Residents,
Team Honk was set up by a group of bloggers 3 years ago to help Comic relief use social media as a fund raising tool, with the three founders joining the comic relief team in Africa for live blogging each year. In the first year team members did lots of silly things individually to make money, in year 2 (for Sports Relief) we joined together for a baton relay from Land’s End to John O’Groats. On the Bristol leg we had a Zumba flashmob in Clifton and juggled our way across the suspension bridge.
This year we are taking part in Comic Relief’s 6 hour danceathon at Wembley Arena on 8th March. There are still Team Honk places available (participants don’t have to be bloggers) and how to join can be found here http://teamhonk.org/how-to-join-the-teamhonkdanceathon-for-red-nose-day/. We will be learning 12 different dance styles with some famous instructors. We’ve even got our own dance move “The Honk” as demonstrated by a Pussycat Doll, Kirstie Allsopp, Ben Fogel and Rufus Hound in this clip http://teamhonk.org/do-the-honk/
If people would like to sponsor their local Team member (me) the link is http://my.rednoseday.com/sponsor/kathb
Thanks
Kath
