News from Golden Hill Community Garden

Attention all parents/carers with a child with special educational needs or a disability! We’re really happy to announce that our new Sunday Adventure Club is coming! Starting on 2 April and running on the first Sunday every month, we’ll aim to provide a place where you can meet other local parents and your children can make friends, run around, explore nature, grow veg, toast snacks on the fire, make dens and have mini adventures! Funded by the Quartet, it’s just £5 a session per child. Booking is essential! And if you’d like to come and help out then let me know!

We’ll also be running an inclusive adventure day in the Easter holidays, 20 April, 11–3. As well as our usual adventure days on Tuesday 11 April and Tuesday 18 April, 10–4pm – £26. Again, booking essential! The theme this time is outlaws so our adventurers will be going deep into the Golden Hill Forest in this day of immersive storytelling, games, activities and pizza.

And in other news, it’s spring! It’s spring! In March we’re busy planting our first seeds, and prepping the garden ready for planting. We’re open every Wednesday and everyone is always welcome – come find us at the end of Monk Rd, behind the prison, BS7 8NE. Drop in between 10am–4pm – there’s always a range of jobs to suit anyone, no experience necessary or just pop in and say hello! Spring is a great time to get involved!

See you in the garden
