Local artists take part in Paint & Clay exhibitionMarch 25th, 2015
Three painters and two potters present an exciting exhibition of new work.
Paint and Clay is the first joint exhibition from three painters and two ceramists who have all studied at Bristol School of Art. They have come together to present new and recent work by each of the artists.
This exhibition offers an exciting breadth of work influenced by individual experiences, perspectives and passions. Paintings combining realism and abstraction, big skies and seascapes, complement striking vases and vessels exploring texture and colour with unusual glazes and surface treatments and figurative sculptures designed to delight.
Paint and Clay is on show now at The Bristol Guild Gallery, Park Street, Clifton and runs until Saturday 11 April. The gallery is open between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
Barbara Chubb, co-ordinating force behind Paint and Clay said “We are all really looking forward to this exhibition, it’s always a real thrill to see your work on display and the Guild Gallery offers such a wonderful space in which to show our paintings and ceramics’.”
The five artists that feature are Gay Beare, Barbara Chubb, Linda Lockwood, Simon Melican and Liz Williams.
