Icing on the Cake – Successful Charity Cake Break!

My first charity fundraiser took place at the Horfield Baptist Church on Saturday 21st May 2011. The Cake Break was in aid of the Bristol MS Society (my dad suffers with this illness).  I was delighted with the turn out from our local community.  There were cakes galore, a fab raffle (all prizes donated by local people and businesses), lucky dip and craft table for the kids.  I was overwhelmed with the help offered to support the event both in the preparations and on the day.  Everybody was very generous and it was fantastic to see so many smiley, local people.  A great turn out from our community groups – The Friends of Horfield Common and St Andrews Park, the Horfield Baptist Church, North Bristol Artists the list goes on.  My Dad had a great time socialising too and offers his thanks for the amazing £330 raised in just two hours!

Preparations are now being made for our MS charity stall at Park Arts11, that will take place on Sunday 10th July in St Andrews Park from 12noon to 6pm. I look forward to welcoming people on this arty day for the whole family.

Thanks again and keep up the good support!
