Gloucester Road Elephant set to run in the Bristol Half Marathon

Alec Jupp and Matt Bailey, both 34, owners of Bristol based elephant estate agency are taking on the Bristol Half Marathon, in support of local charity Penny Brohn Cancer Care, as a way of giving back to their local community.

Inspired by the amazing efforts of Team GB and their stars such as Mo Farrah, ‘Team Elephant’ are taking on the local race on Sunday 30th September and hoping to complete the 13.1 mile race to raise significant funds for people living with cancer.

To help with their fundraising elephant are running a special offer for anyone considering moving. The Gloucester Road based estate agents will donate £50 to Penny Brohn Cancer Care for every new property registered with the agency in September.

Alec said: “We are very proud to be based in Bristol and have had fantastic support since opening just over a year ago, so it only seemed fitting to give something back to the city. Penny Brohn Cancer Care is a fantastic charity providing life-changing care to those with cancer, and their supporters, when they need it most. It is a pleasure to support them.

“We decided to run a special offer by donating £50 to the charity for every new property registered with us in September, as it seemed like such a simple to way raise money. Selling your home needn’t be a marathon, so give us a call and remember you will also be helping a very worthy cause! I am not sure whether we will actually see a ‘mo-bot’ on the day but I am pretty sure for days after I will be walking like a robot!”

Amy Cason, Events & Corporate Manager at Penny Brohn Cancer Care added:

“We are so grateful to Team Elephant for taking on the Bristol Half Marathon and supporting us. It is, and will always be, an instrumental part of our fundraising calendar. It’s a fantastic event for the city and we love being involved.

“We still have places in it, so if you have been inspired by the Olympics, just like Alec and Matt have, call today and you can still get involved.”
