Community Grants available but not for long!February 2nd, 2011
The Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Neighbourhood Partnership have money available that could benefit your community groups and organisations – but you need to hurry, the deadline to apply for a grant is February 18th 2011.
If you would like to apply for a community grant it must relate to one of the following priorities
Improving the Built Environment
Trees, Parks and Green Spaces
Local Traffic and Transport
An activity or project that promotes or improves the economic, social or environmental well-being of those in the (Neighbourhood Partnership) area.
Previous local projects that have been successful with these grants include Vibe Youth club who secured funding to buy equipment for their youth group that is based in St Michaels Church Hall and is open to all 11 to 18 year olds. The Friends of St Andrews Park received assistance with the installation of their beautiful, informative notice boards and Clive Stevens led the fantastic Stumps campaign that saw new trees planted in the place of stumps all over our neighbourhood streets.
If you are involved with a community organisation whose activities benefit the people of Bishopston, Cotham or Redland then why not apply for a community grant to improve the work you are doing.
