The BISHOPSTON SOCIETY PUBLIC MEETING will take place on Monday 7th April at 7.30pm at St Michael & All Angels on Pigsty Hill.

We have two main guest speakers for the evening. Firstly, Duncan Laird, Group Manager, Transportation at BCC, will talk on ‘Liveability on the Streets’ with particular emphasis on the Gloucester Road. Secondly, Pete Insole, the guiding light behind the BCC local history website, ‘Know your Place’, will explain how to carry out an ‘Our Place’ survey in Bishopston which will subsequently take place on 7th May.

More information on how to take part in this survey at: www.bishopstonsociety.org.uk) or ask at the meeting. Daniella Radice will then tell us a little about a Bishopston based Neighbourhood Partnership ‘walking map project’ and finally Liz Kew will update us on the work of the Gloucester Road Street Scene Group.

At the end of the meeting, there will be the usual Open Forum when you have a chance to have Your Say and bring matters that concern you to the attention of the meeting. After the meeting there will be refreshments and time to talk to committee members.

NB If anyone needs a lift to and from the meeting or can offer lifts please contact Lionel on 9445687.
