Award for Avon Harmony Ladies ChoirApril 1st, 2014
The auditions are taking place around the country, and twenty one choirs from the southwest and South Wales took part in the Bristol event. The award means that the chorus now enters a moderation process to be considered for entry to the next round of the competition in October.
The chorus sings a cappella, four-part harmony, and sang two barbershop style songs in the audition. The judges complimented them on their presentation and the way they engaged the audience, as well as their singing.
The chorus is planning a concert in Clevedon in September, and will also compete in the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers convention in November, and welcomes new members who would like to sing ladies’ four part harmony.
