Could your community group benefit from a grant?
April 3rd, 2012
Calling all community groups in Bishopston, Redland and Cotham! Do you have a fantastic project that will make a difference to local people but need funding to help it along? Well the Neighbourhood Partnership wellbeing grant could be for you.
Grants are available to voluntary groups who fulfil the criteria set out by the Neighbourhood Partnership. This year the projects supported must cover the following areas:
- Local traffic and transport
- Improving the built environment
- Parks, green spaces and trees
- Young people
- Improving the lives of people living in the neighbourhood
- Improving relations and communication between local businesses and residents
- Supporting the small business community
- Enabling all people to feel safe in public spaces
They must also operate within Bishopston, Cotham or Redland and highlight the impact of the awarded grant both during and after its life. Previous recipients of grants as small as £250 and as large as £5k have included after school clubs, anti-graffiti projects, help for local businesses and extra planting schemes in our parks. So what are you waiting for?
The closing date for the next round of grant applications is 11 June 2012. Dont forget to get your application in on time!
