Long Business Description

Born in Birmingham, photographer Paul Bullivant has been a resident of St Andrews since 1979 and has lived here with his family for 20 years.

“The buzz of the Gloucester Road is a constant source of interest and a place where, on any day of the week, you bump into friends and acquaintances. That’s partly what makes this whole area a thriving community – and the familiarity helps bond communities.”

And this familiarity helps Paul to draw on his adopted home as inspiration for his photography. He has completed a number of studies of people and places both locally and across Bristol.

But ‘the local’ is only one side of Paul’s inspiration. He has travelled widely during the passed 25 years and many of the photographs from these often exotic journeys can be seen on his web site.

Paul has been involved in a range of other community and arts activities and is an active member of The Friends of St Andrews Park and a trustee of an organisation providing support for people recovering from addiction. He was an early member of North Bristol Artists and can be found exhibiting his work and playing music in St Bart’s Church on the popular trail.

Long Business Description

Ever since I was young I have had a very visual eye for life. I have always been drawn to colours, textures and interesting subjects such as nature and architecture, which make quite ‘graphical’ images.

After years of experimenting with a wide range of media and techniques I have now found my greatest passions in photography and enamelling.

“I love the experimental quality to enamelling, you never quite know how each work is going to turn out and every piece is a unique original.”

Many of my photographs are taken in and around Bristol, such as the leaves at Westonbirt, cranes at Bristol docks and the boats at Weston-super-mare.

Over the past year I have added wedding photography and children's portraiture to my portfolio. My style is un-invasive, artistic and natural. I very much enjoy providing families with treasured photographs of their special day/ people so please contact me if you are interested in finding out more about my work and affordable prices.

Commissions available on request. Please ask if you would like a print in a different size or frame.
