The Friends of Redland Library have released details of their autumn programme of events.
Topics covered include poetry, women who built Bristol, the sea, the city and Europe.
-
Thursday 13th September – Desert Island Books – Books & Poetry
-
Thursday 27th September – Meet the Author – Jane Duffus
-
Tuesday 16th October – Desert Island Books – Books & the Sea
-
Thursday 1st November – Desert Island Books – Books & the City
-
Thursday 6th December – Desert Island Books – Books & Europe
In Desert Island Books, a panel of interesting people select one book on the event’s main theme; and a second ‘wildcard book’, being a book that they have enjoyed and would recommend to others.
Our panels of speakers make these events and we have always been fortunate in securing the participation of writers, academics, politicians, professionals and people with a specific interest or take on a subject; basically people who have something to say and can say it well.
Details of these events can be found on our website https://friendsofredlandlibrary.org.uk/future-events
The Friends of Redland Library is a voluntary group set up to support Redland Library, helping to sustain and improve its service, and also connecting it with the local and wider community. Redland Library is situated on Whiteladies Road, close to Clifton Down train station.
