St Peter’s Hospice fires up foamy fundraiser

The Bristol sky filled with bubbles rather than balloons last week as St Peter’s Hospice launched its first ever Bubble Rush event.

Fundraisers from Bristol’s only adult hospice launched the family fun run in front of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, demonstrating one of the fantastic foam-cannons that will be firing out bubbles over the 5k course.

The Bubble Rush takes place on Saturday 16 September at the North Somerset Showground, starting in a sea of bubbles and featuring the cannons at four Bubble Stations along the route. The course is family-friendly and is not timed, so participants can jog, walk, toddle or even dance through the foam, with every participant receiving a medal at the end. The most important thing is everyone enjoys their time in the bubbles!

St Peter’s Hospice is aiming to raise £50,000 from the Bubble Rush. Events Fundraiser Louisa James said “It was exciting to see the foam cannon in action and to launch our first Bubble Rush. The event is a great opportunity for children and families to get involved and have a great day out while supporting St Peter’s Hospice.”

“We would love families in Bishopston to take part in this new and exciting event, so that we can raise much needed funds to continue providing hospice care in the area.”
