Community Project seeks local Entrepreneurs

North Bristol Community Project (NBCP) is a registered charity delivering a range of education, training and leisure activities for local people. We are seeking enterprising, self-motivated entrepreneurs  interested in running  a small community cafe on the vibrant and busy commercial  Gloucester Road in Bristol.

This is an  opportunity ideally suited for people interested in collaborating with others, sharing  the exciting adventure of starting up a new business.  Although the rent is very affordable, you will need some investment capital to consider this a viable option. The amount will depend on the number of people involved. You will need to cover your basic setting up costs: the license, kitchen equipment, till, stock purchase, bond payment, insurance, food hygiene certificates, rates and working capital. There is a good income to be made if you are able and willing to put in the effort.  The NBCP team are based on the same premises so we are available to offer support as and when it is needed.

The ground floor retail space measures 7.15 x 3.45 meters. Leading off from this is a room that can be used as a kitchen. The premises genuinely offer an excellent business opportunity for the right people. However, you will also want to be absolutely certain you are aware of the commitment involved in running a successful cafe business.

There are many cafes and eateries already on the Gloucester Road but none function as a community Café that we are aware of.  Over the past 35 years we have built up a loyal, charity shop customer base. Many of our customers are waiting in anticipation for the new café to open. We would like the café  to host  a monthly pop-up, pay what you wish restaurant. One of our Trustees is an experienced head chef who is willing to run these events for the benefit of the community.
